You may have come across many ‘About Me’ sections for designers and have seen things like “a designer, thinker, and problem solver” or “creates delightful, meaningful, experiences.” Or maybe even “crafts powerful connections between people and brands.” They’re all the same, right? Every single ‘About Me’ I came across during my search for inspiration all said something along those lines. The thing is, all of those things should already be expected of you as a designer. It’s literally our job, so why do we feel saying those things will make us different or stand out?
So, I’m not going to say those things. The truth is, we’re more similar than people like to think. We’re all designers through and through, striving to produce quality work. We all have “heart” and desire to solve real world problems. Me? I have an instinct for good design, and I design with purpose. I craft intentional work where every detail is considered, as a designer should.
So what’s really different about me? Maybe the fact that I’m not afraid to say this kind of stuff. I’m kind of a realist. If you dig my approach, maybe we’re a good match. ;)
